What follows is a sequence of battles that occurred on the same day in 1674 and was an attempt by Condé to destroy the Allied army. Players can follow the battles from part one through to part four.

Battle of Seneff – Part One
Scale : Tactical.
Dutch Deployment : The Dutch forces deploy according to the map.
French Deployment : The French forces deploy according to their map and take the first turn.
Outcome : The French were attempting to engage the Allied army and had managed to catch their rearguard at the town of Seneff. In a brief encounter the Dutch horse fled before the French household cavalry and the Dutch foot were wiped out defending Seneff.

Battle of Seneff – Part Two
Scale : Grand.
Spanish Deployment : The Spanish forces deploy according to the map, the infantry hold the town and castle, the cavalry occupy the open ground.
French Deployment : The French forces deploy according to their map and take the first turn.
Special Rules : The French side should keep a running tally of hits inflicted on their army after each battle. Only units that have actually survived previous battles can be used for this game.
Outcome : The Spanish put up some stiff resistance, especially around the castle, but were heavily outnumbered and unable to halt the French. Assentar was mortally wounded and captured by the French.

Scale : Grand.
Dutch Deployment : The Dutch forces deploy according to the map, the foot occupy St. Nicolas and the priory, the cavalry behind the woods.
French Deployment : The French forces deploy according to their map and take the first turn.
Special Rules : The French, and now Dutch should keep a running tally of hits inflicted on their army after each battle. Only units that have actually survived previous battles can be used for this game
Outcome : Fourilles’s command attacked up the slope and drove the Dutch infantry from the hill supported by numerous cavalry charges personally led by Condé. William managed to inflict heavy casualties on the French and withdrew to Fayt where the rest of the Allied army awaited. Fourilles was fatally wounded in the battle and Navailles took over his command.

Battle of Seneff – Part Four
Scale : Grand.
Allied Deployment : The Allied forces can be deployed at any point within their deployment area. Souches force must march onto the battlefield (behind Allied deployment area) in turn two.
French Deployment : The French forces deploy according to their map and take the first turn.
Special Rules : Only units that have actually survived previous battles can be used for this game. All hits on formations from previous encounters should have been recorded.
Outcome : The French infantry supported by Navailles was ordered to take Fayt which it eventually did but it got no further. Luxembourg’s cavalry took the Château de l’Escaille but was held there despite numerous attempts to break out. The fighting ceased around midnight, neither side was in any condition to carry on.
